Monday I spent the day fighting with the insurance company for pre-authorizations.  So let's just say this weekend was FUGLY! Nope, not ugly, FUGLY!   Net end result: The husband is hobbling around the house threatening me with divorce court after I just spent three months and all my leave taking care of him!

Not really a happy camper right now, for obvious reasons...

Will detail out more when the mood suits me. 

 So the only way to get the Leave Without Pay put through is to put through the extension on the FMLA early. Okay, fine. Took me a day just to get through all the paperwork so the husband's doctor just has to sign it. What a pain ( Read more... )

 Well, first good sign is that the tests showed that the mum's heart is fit as a fiddle, and the likely cause was stress. She'd had a blow up with her boss at work, and was driving in when the chest pains began. Sadly, she has an overnight stay in hospital and a bundle of tests to pay for, but it's worth it to know she's all right. The best part: ( Read more... )

 So this week, after feeling like I have been losing my mind, I end up with a migraine on Wednesday that, with medication, finally breaks yesterday evening, leaving me feeling dizzy and icky for the next day or so. Not great when you are the designated driver/ chef/ housekeeper/ nurse maid/ etc. for the husband.

Two weeks ago, just hours after posting here that I was feeling rather uninspired yet productive, life happened.
